What's new in version 2.0 of HomeMoviesTube!
Welcome to the new and improved HomeMoviesTube.com!
First and foremost, we would like to thank all our loyal followers for your patience while we worked hard to bring you a new and improved site that has many new features and vast improvements. We are still working on many features so please bare with us. Here is a brief overview of some of the many improvements you will find:
Improved Performance & Streaming
We have vastly improved our server and techincal infrastructure and you will experience much faster video streaming capabilities, fast forwarding, less stalls and hicups and a much more pleasent surfing experience overall.
More Bulk Updates
We will now be adding 35-50+ videos per day, updated once daily at around 12:00AM EST. This will give you many new videos that you can enjoy instantly as opposed to having to come back every hour for a new update.
New Content: Photos (in progress)
We have decided to add a photos section to our site. Similar to our videos, these will be photos uploaded by our community and regular users. Please bare with us as this section will be expanded on a daily basis as content gets added and uploaded.
New Feature: Follow Uploader (must be registered)
One of our favorite new features will allow you to subscribe and follow your favorite users and uploaders. You can easily subscribe to a user while viewing the content and find your subscriptions inside your profile. You will be able to easily see if this user has added any new content from this section as well.
New Feature: History & Activity (must be registered)
Another great feature we've added will allow you easily find all your viewing history for the last 24 hours. This will be very handy should you want to easily find media you recently watched. Your recent activity works in the same way for comments and messages you've posted so that you can easily go back to these sections.
More Personalizations & Details (must be registered)
All registered users will be able to add more flare and personalizations to their profile which include more overall visibility and more options to tell our community more about yourself! You will also see these expanded personalizations for all users who choose to use these options.
More Content & Faster Downloads For Premium Members
We truly value our premium members who help support this site and we've added a bunch of new and bonus content inside our premium section and will continue to do so regularly. All downloads will also be downloaded at blazing speeds.
More Searching & Sorting Options
Top rated and most viewed can now be sorted to show daily, weekly, monthly and all time, for both videos and photos. You will also be able to refine your searches and search by username/uploaded as well.
Improved Friends & Communications Management
We've vastly improved how you can add and manage your friends as well as sending, receiving and managing your private messages.
New Feature: Daily/Weekly/Monthly Top Rated & Views
You will now be able to refine the top rated and most viewed media options where you will notice expanded choices to sort by daily, weekly, monthly and all time.
Rewards & Contests
As you will notice now on every profile page, you will see a 'user rank'. We will be having weekly and monthly contests soon with different types of rewards for our biggest supporters and fans. This feature is active right now and we will be announcing more details shortly.

There are many other improvements you may or may not notice in v2. We are also constantly working on devlopping new features and improving existing ones and we really look forward to bringing these to you very soon.
